Well....Today I decided to start a blog. Maybe a way for me to get motivated to start writing. And an interesting way to document daily thoughts. Scatterbrained as they are.
Soo I've decided to jump right into the day to day specifics and worry about my back story as the need arises. For example...about 4 weeks ago we had to put down our 3 year old husky Chazzy. If you don't know Chazzy was a verygoodboy. He had a twisted stomach and ran into the woods (at my wife's (Leah), grandmothers acreage) By the time he was found, he was too far along for surgery.
It was pretty terrible. He was my first dog, and I feel for anyone that loses a pup, in a way I never understood before.
But alas we do also have a now 1 year old St. Bernard Cross, Chazzy's (not biological) little brother. also a verygoodboy. His name is Odin (see picture below)
It has been a hard decision , but we have decided to begin looking (half assed-ish) for another pup. Odin definitely misses having a buddy at home, and although he is now getting more attention from us, he still needs a fury friend. I am going tomorrow to check out some Corgi-Newfoundland puppies. That's right. If you don't know these breeds, check out some google images, and remember the corgi was the mother. Yikes. Buut looks like some pretty sweet pups.
So I'm heading down to check them out. If I find the right one, then we should be able to pick him/her up on the weekend. (8 weeks old) if not, we will likely put off the search until after Christmas.
So that's it. My first attempt, at what I'd like to be a daily-ish routine. Dear diary...
